I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
