Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who jumped a fence and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A circulating video depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was set to attend court on the following morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account contains videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Past Trauma

Numerous followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another message on Instagram.

Several supporters also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

The musical itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, winning several for excellent wardrobe and production design.
