European Leaders Condemn US Action as ‘Intimidation’
European leaders including the French president charged Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, following the visa restrictions were placed on individuals who have been at the heart of efforts to introduce laws governing US-based technology firms.
“For far too long, European activists have led organised efforts to coerce American platforms to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” stated a senior US official in a social media post. “This government will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
