A religious leader and guardian team from a Manchester Jewish worship center have been acknowledged as "champions" by the National Leader for their conduct when the building came under assault.

Two community members from the Israeli descendants perished and several more were left in grave circumstances during the assault that occurred during worship services marking Judaism's holiest day at the worship center.

The chief law enforcement officer confirmed that worshippers and security staff helped prevent the assailant from gaining access to the structure before he was killed by police.

The Government Leader stated there was no doubt that rescue personnel and the worship center's safety team "prevented an even greater disaster".

The perpetrator was bearing a suspected explosive device, which authorities have declared was not viable, when he drove a automobile at groups of people before stabbing multiple individuals.
